When I started this series 100 days ago, my goal was simple:
👉 To better understand how technology—especially artificial intelligence—might shape the future of our industry.
After more than 45 years in real estate, I’ve seen many changes over the decades. From printed MLS books to digital listings, from fax machines to electronic signatures, technology has always played a role in moving our profession forward.
Artificial intelligence feels like the next chapter in that story.
And after 100 days of studying, writing, and learning, here are a few things that stand out.
Technology Is Moving Faster Than Ever
There is no question that artificial intelligence is advancing rapidly.
We are seeing tools that can:
- analyze large amounts of market data
- improve property marketing
- assist with pricing strategies
- help buyers search for homes in new ways
- streamline communication and transactions
Some of these capabilities would have sounded impossible just a few years ago.
Technology is no longer something coming in the future.
👉 It is already here.
But Experience Still Matters
One thing has become very clear to me over these past 100 days.
Technology may change the tools we use—but it does not replace the value of experience.
Real estate transactions still involve:
- negotiation
- communication
- problem solving
- understanding local markets
- helping people make important financial decisions
In communities like Nazareth, Easton, Palmer Township, Forks Township, and Bethlehem Township, every property and every transaction has its own story.
That’s something no algorithm fully understands.
Relationships Are Still the Foundation
Despite all the advances in technology, real estate remains a relationship-driven business.
People don’t just hire an agent because of technology.
They hire someone they:
- trust
- respect
- feel comfortable working with
- believe will represent their best interests
That hasn’t changed in 45 years—and I don’t believe it will change in the years ahead.
The Future Belongs to Those Who Adapt
If there is one lesson that stands above all others, it’s this:
👉 The future belongs to professionals who are willing to learn and adapt.
Artificial intelligence is not something to fear.
It is something to understand.
It is a tool that can help professionals work smarter, communicate better, and provide stronger service.
Agents who embrace technology thoughtfully will likely be in the best position to serve their clients in the years ahead.
What This Journey Has Meant to Me
Writing for 100 consecutive days has been a valuable experience.
It forced me to:
- stay curious
- keep learning
- reflect on how our industry is evolving
- think about how to best serve clients in a changing world
Most importantly, it reminded me that growth doesn’t stop just because you’ve been in the business a long time.
There is always something new to learn.
The Bottom Line
After 100 days of studying artificial intelligence and real estate, one conclusion stands out:
👉 Technology will change how we work—but it will never replace the importance of trust, experience, and local knowledge.
For those of us working in the Lehigh Valley, helping buyers and sellers navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives remains at the heart of what we do.
And that part of real estate will always matter.
Thank you to everyone who has followed along during these first 100 days.
This journey doesn’t end here.
In many ways, it’s just getting started.
Thinking about buying or selling in the Lehigh Valley?
I’m always happy to provide guidance based on decades of local market experience.
